FARA ASA, the leading supplier of IT solutions to the public transport sector in the Nordic countries, has signed an order to supply additional equipment to their existing customer Västerbotten Län, Sweden. The order is related to an option in the original delivery related to the FARA upgrade of the customers ticketing- and information system. 

The total order value is approx MSEK 8,5 excluding VAT.  The order consists of both hardware and software for handheld units and EMV terminals with the new Chip & Go technology. This will make the on-board transactions faster and more efficient. The order will be delivered during Q1 2012.

“This is an important order and prove/states that FARA`s different solutions to bring cash out of the bus are attractive in the market place”, says Account Manager Sweden Tommy Berglund.

In addition FARA will increase its’ recurring revenue from service and maintenance after the equipment has been implemented.
