FARA ASA, the leading provider of IT solutions to the transport sector in the Nordic region, has signed a contract with Arriva Scandinavia A / S, Denmark for the provision of RTI and Infotainment with a value of MDKK 4.3. The solution will be installed on 101 buses for Fynbus in the region of FYN.

In addition, the parties have signed a 6 year service and maintenance agreement with a cumulative nominal value of MDKK 2.3. In addition, there are options for extension and continuous expansion of the project.

The delivery is the same system as previously provided by FARA to Arriva's operations in Copenhagen. FARA has previously delivered a ticketing solution to Fynbus which is to be integrated with this delivery. FARA’s opportunities to deliver integrated and scalable solutions have been instrumental for choosing FARA.

Arriva is a major European player and is the largest bus operator in Denmark. In this context it is important that FARA has confirmed the quality of its products through its existing customers, in order to expand its involvement with the company.

The project will be operational by August 1, 2010.
